Real exciting speedway racing continues at Fast Fridays Motorcycle Speedway in Auburn Ca. This week is week eight of the 2026 season with still a lot of racing coming up in the rest of the season.

The exciting team racing Team Challenge match-up played out this week. Round Four of the Team Challenge saw Team IFC completely erase the deficit they carried in the first three meetings and left the score with their team one point ahead of the Law Tigers 38-37. It has been quite a reversal of the score.

Team IFC (Integrated Financial Concepts) really got going in the scoring column with first place finishes by Broc Nicol, Wilbur Hancock and Shawn Eldridge, each rider scoring three points. Brady Landon had a second place finish adding two points and John Gauthreaux chipped in one more point with a third place finish. IFC finished the three heats with 12 points.

For the Team Law Tigers, who have led the series for the first three rounds, managed to score just six points. Timmy Dion and Marc Denniston each had second place finishes and scored two points each, Billy Janniro and Louie Mersaroli added one point each with third place finishes.

The Team Challenge is a season long match-up in six rounds including the final championship on August 14. Riders from the two teams score points in each of the rounds for finishing order in the three heats of the round. Three points for a first place finish, two points for a second place finish and one point for a third place finish. Zero for a fourth place finish. Two riders from each team work together in each scratch heat race to help each other accumulate points that carry from one round to the next. Very exciting racing action.

The challenge is really getting good as the score going into the fifth round is nearly tied. There are two rounds left and anything can happen. Stay tuned, come out and cheer for your favorite team.

Broc Nicol, absent from last weeks racing program was back in winning form this week. Nicol picked up another scratch main event win, his sixth of the season. The only other riders to win a scratch main event this season at Fast Friday’s is Billy Janniro and Brady Landon. Nicol finished third in both his heat race and his semi-final, but got on it to win the main.

Brady Landon, who won last week’s scratch main event led out of the gate. In turn one though both Russell Green and Landon went down causing a restart. In the restart, Nicol took the outside line and led to the finish line. Landon followed but fell back as each lap went by. Landon was second, Green was third and Janniro fourth.

Landon was having a great night. Before the scratch main event Landon picked up another main event win in the handicap program. The win in the handicap was his first in the handicap program. He now has wins in both scratch and handicap programs. Landon, riding off the 20-yard line led all the way with Louie Mersaroli following closely in second. Charging hard though was Nicol moving through traffic and passed Mersaroli on lap four. Nicol could not catch Landon and settled for second place. Mersaroli was third. In his first year on a 500cc motorcycle and racing out of the youth program, Landon, not quite 16 years-old, is making a huge impact in the Division I programs.

Mike Newnham won his second Support Division D2 main event in as many weeks. Newnham seems to have mastered the track and is tough to beat. Newnham was gold every time his rode onto the track, winning all his races. Marc Denniston was second and Ray Holt Jr. was third in the main event.

The other half of the Denniston brothers, Sebe Denniston won the Support Division D3 main event. Denniston was third in both his heat races but he must of figured out the track or the other riders and finished first in the main event. Denniston led from the start but pesky Cody Baugh was nipping at his heels the entire race. Denniston held on though for the win. Baugh was second and in only his second night racing at Fast Friday’s Austin Brightwell was third.

It is a real battle each week in the Youth 150cc D1 program. Mason Howell and Liam Falcon have challenged each other since the beginning of the season. Howell has won five of the main events, but Falcon, who has won two, gives him a run for his money each week. This week Howell came out on top again. The racing between these two young sportsmen is really fun to watch. Falcon was second and Brady Wills was third.

The Youth 150cc D2 division is also shaping up to be tight racing. This week Luke Seeger took the main event but not without some drama. With Seeger leading Hank Hanaway passed Gavin Evans-Seeley who was in second place and was closing in on Seeger but on the last lap near the finish line took a fall opening the door for Evans-Seeley to fall back into second place for the finish. Chance Farrow was third.

Kaydence Craw led in the Youth 150cc D3 main event for nearly the entire race but on lap three she was passed Kaiden Boyd-Bews who took the checkered flag. She took second place and William Bruce was third.

Jameson Hutchinson was first in the Youth 250cc D1 main event in spite of being heavily handicapped on the start. Hutchinson won all his races. Caden Cavirkas was second and Justin Gist was third. Leeann Emerson again topped the Youth 250cc D2 main event. The win was the fifth time Emerson has climbed on top of the winner’s podium this season. Colton Cooper was second and Baylee Evans-Seeley was third.

Next week, get ready for the epic North vs. South Challenge at Fast Fridays. The iconic match-up began in 1991. The meeting pits the best riders from Southern California against the best riders from the Northern California. The North leads the South 22-12, so the South will be looking to gain some ground in this historic series. This is one to not be missed.
